”Axiostat Vascular with Radial Compression Band helps achieve patent haemostasis with minimal Radial arterial compression and reduces post-procedural complications ”

Innovative combination of Axiostat with the conventional compression bands can be used very efficiently to achieve patent haemostasis with zero arterial occlusions. ... The biologically active Axiostat combined with low pressure by compression band makes it a 2-step simple process of application and removal as compared to conventional multi step application and reduction of pressure in traditional bands for long hours.

Benefits of Axiostat Usage in vascular procedure

Axiostat has the ability to achieve hemostasis in human radial artery puncture site within ~5-6 minutes for all patients, even those with complicating factors like diabetes or hypertension regardless of heparin dosage.

The hemostasis time was reduced significantly in comparison with the conventional TR band. Axiostat can be used on multiple sheath sizes during radial access, reducing the risk of Radial Artery Occlusion (RAO), and promoting patient comfort with early ambulation and painless removal.

Apart from that Axiostat has barrier to bacteria property that helps to protect the bleeding site from any external infection.

How to Use

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Upon completion of the procedure withdraw the sheath by 2-3 cm.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Place Axiostat® V25/V35 on the sheath and cover the puncture site adequately.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Place sterile gauze over Axiostat® & apply manual compression and remove the sheath.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Release the pressure and allow few drops of blood to enter Axiostat® and compress for 1 minute.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Keep the occlusive compression for 10 min till the time Axiostat® adheres to the site and no bleeding is observed.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Cover the Axiostat® with secondary dressing and let it stay for 100 min.

Axiostat Vascular Radial Closure

Remove Axiostat® by irrigating
with plenty of saline, When Axiostat® turns into a liquid gel, it can be easily and painlessly taken off.
