Optimum moisture maintenance for superior wound healing
MaxioCel wound irrigation solution has an excellent cleaning ability while remaining gentle on the wound, assisting in the removal of foreign material, wound eschar, and dirt, making the debridement process easier. By reducing the microbial burden and preventing biofilm formation at the wound site, it creates an ideal environment for the wound healing agents to act upon.

Recommended for:
Chronic wounds like – Diabetic foot ulcers | Pressure ulcers | Venous ulcers | Infected wounds | Post-operative wounds | Cavity wounds | Necrotic wounds | 1st & 2nd degree burns | Traumatic wounds
Composition:
Purified water, Chitosan lactate, Polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB)
Technology
MaxioCel wound irrigation solution is a protonated chitosan-based solution that helps in the cleansing, decontamination, and moisturization of both acute and chronic wounds. It controls the microbial infection in the wound area and causes the biofilm structure to disaggregate, making it less adherent.
Cell wall rupture and DNA damage by positively charged chitosan
Debridement Efficacy
The weight of wound eschar (Scab) significantly reduced with time in the presence of Maxiocel wound irrigation solution in comparison to the saline. It indicates Maxiocel wound irrigation solution has greater autolytic debridement efficacy than saline.
